Star Pottery
You are welcome to come and visit Mohamed and his friends at the Star Pottery in Lewes. At the front of his workshop there is a Gallery Shop where you can buy items made by Mohamed, his students and professional associates including:
Diane Harris, Ruth Garratt, Caroline Charlton-Hellyer, Topsy Jewell, Rosemary Land, Geoff Pitmann, Rowena Williams, Gill Kay, Blythe Collquhoun, Kate Brigden and Janina Chowaniec.
You can also see work in progress and on occasion see the potters throwing decorating and glazing. Come and see us!
The Star Brewery
The Star Pottery is part of the Star Brewery, set in the heart of historic Lewes, the county town of Sussex and is overlooked by the impressive ruins of a Norman castle. Established in its current form in 1989, the Hop Gallery attracts a variety of skilled artists and craftsmen and features a series of creative workshops and studios. There are regular exhibitions of contemporary art held in the Hop gallery and popular craft fairs. The pottery is thriving, a friendly hive of activity, with an integral exhibition area and shop.
